Okay, permetaform ended up sending me ten more anime vids -- just as fantastic as the first six she originally sent.

And! And! daylight_shadow sent me a DVD of The Faculty and some strawberry flavored lube (inside joke). It arrived before my birthday, but I didn't check my mail till today. How cool is that?!? So, so cool I tell you.

Syd is coming in three days.

There were a few vids that included source from multiple fandoms. Some Cowboy Bebop and Evangelion and Trigun and a number of others I didn't recognize. A Final Fantasy one.

Anime vids aren't like live action. The focus isn't on the fandom when you watch an anime vid. Generally anime watchers are multifandom and chances are they haven't seen the anime you're vidding. The focus is more on what the vidder can do with the source than any message the vidder is trying to tell you about the source.
