Whew!

I had a good day yesterday. I took a calculus test and a chemistry quiz and I'm positive I passed them both. I suppose I would have done better on the calculus test if I'd studied more, but at least I know I studied *enough.* Oh well -- next time. I like when I have calculus tests on Thursdays, because it means I don't have any calculus homework due Friday -- which means I shouldn't be working till all hours of the night doing homework today when I could be enjoying myself.

My physics tutor moved up the due time for today's homework from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Despite what you might expect, this was actually the worst news I heard yesterday. Since it's been moved back, I've procrastinated, and this means that I've screwed myself over despite the rare blessing of a calculus free Friday. Oh, fuckity, fuck, fuck.

It's the laziness. The laziness is going to kill me.

Uh, what was I going to say? Oh yeah -- a while ago I had a conversation with [livejournal.com profile] daylight_shadow in which she told me, "I'm lazy too." I told her of my dilemma with procrastination and my homework issues. She replied, "Well, I always finish my homework, and then I can be lazy without feeling guilty." My reply was, "You obviously have no idea what the word lazy means." Dude -- it's not laziness if you're not doing work because you don't actually have any work to do. If you think that's laziness, you spend too much time around workaholics.

Dude, I repeated myself, like six times. Are there any synonyms for the word lazy? Nothing else quite captures the meaning, eh.

What else happened yesterday? Oh -- I went off to class wearing just a polo shirt and jeans. It was about 50* Fahrenheit, which is doable in the amount of clothes I was wearing. However, by the time I returned from class, night had fallen and the wind was blowing at about 60 mph. It was so freakin' cold!!! I was about to die. And yet, I didn't. Thank God for that. I was also carrying my bag. My brand new, dark denim, backpack sized bag. I love it! I bought it yesterday around noon, and it cost me $24.00. It's about the size of a messenger bag -- maybe a little bigger. It's more attractive than any messenger bag I've seen, and it has a main pocket I'm using for books and a side pocket for...not-books. It has a cover flap decorated with words and a large, thick denim shoulder strap. It's the prettiest bag in the whole world, and so much better than a backback (I hate backpack's with a burning passion after having to use them all through grade school and middle school and high school). [livejournal.com profile] evenstarjuliet, you have to lend me your digital camera so I can take pictures of it. Everyone needs to see my new bag. Everyone.

So, I kind of joined a band as the singer. We've just got started, really, and we're just doing cover songs so far. The first practice is today, and I'm going to be singing "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers. Huh -- that was a short paragraph.

So my roomate told me all I ever do is watch anime. I was like "Not true! You're just not awake when I do my homework!" Blah. Anyway, I suppose I have been on a binge lately. See, the thing is, when you watch a regular show like Jake 2.0 (speaking of which -- *love*) and there's a giant cliffhanger you tell yourself *Damnit. I have to wait a whole week to see what happens next.* However, when you watch anime, and there's a giant cliffhanger, you tell yourself *I have the next 40 episodes already downloaded on my computer. I can find out what happens next...right now.* You see the problem here?

Oh, and speaking of anime, One Piece episode downloads are available HERE for anyone who wants to check it out. [livejournal.com profile] evenstarjuliet, I know you missed some episodes -- they have ep. 1-67 available so far, plus the first and second One Piece movies. I'm trying not to watch too many because it's more fun seeing them at the anime club and singing along to the theme song along with the other folks (like the giant nerd I pretend I'm not). Plus, Prince of Tennis is already taking up way too much space on my hard drive, and I can't bring myself to delete any of the episodes. I really need some blank CDs. I might have to do something drastic like buy the way overpriced blank CDs at the campus store. Gah!

Okay, so I'm done. I'm not talking about anime on my lj for at least a week, and I'm going to try to stop with the gratuitous squeeage alltogether.

In other news, I have a burgeoning idea for a piece of original fiction. I'm going to work on it along with Bitter Water. Once I finish Bitter Water I'll go back to work on Fighting Silence (which needs some serious editing -- every time I go back and read it I find irritating little errors). I'll probably throw in a few Everwood ficlets during this time, just for fun. Who knows.

Media reviews, I mean. Everybody talks about their shows on lj after they watch them. So, here's what I thought of Angel, Smallville, and Jake 2.0 this week:

Mmmm'kay -- that's all. Now I have to go check if [livejournal.com profile] superplin has put up her weekly Angel review yet, because I'm really interested in what she has to say about this week's episode.

Bye.
