This season had some good moments, but on balance, they really lost their footing. S3 is probably my favorite of the series, and even now, as angry and sad as I am, I'm not sorry for watching the show. But I feel like all the piles of warnings I've given everyone about it will now have to take a back seat to the new set of warnings.
Here's how bad and egregious what they did was, from a personal perspective: I've struggled with depression my whole life, but I haven't had serious suicidal thoughts in well over ten years. Until last night. The narrative they chose is legit harmful, IMO.
(ETA: I should add that it was also just unfortunate coincident timing to a really shitty week over here, but still. There are so, so many people who love this show because they identify with Quentin, and who don't have my support system and coping tools.)
