Why I love it: I adore this author's characterization of Brian. The way he wears his selflessness like a character flaw and wants, but never asks. The way his pride is always unobtrusively apparent.

summary: What if Harry were really Snape's son.
Why I love it: Okay, the idea sounds cliche, but it works. Stunningly well. This fic is so well characterized and plotted and I think I might be overusing the word elegant in this post but it's the only word that applies. It's totally believable. It's frighteningly long, but never feels dragged out. It's gen, for the most part. Work in progress. Updates are fairly frequent.
