I went to a concert last night. One of my friends is a basoon player. It was lovely, though I felt terribly embarrassed when I tried to take a picture not realizing that the flash was still on. Afterwards I went to Fire and Ice and had dinner. So gooood! I ended up going back to said friend's dorm and watching Finding Nemo and Bend It Like Beckham (did I spell that right?) -- both of which I had never seen before. Great fun was had by all. I then decided not to brave the snow storm and I crashed at his place.
He offered to set the alarm for me at, say, 11:00. I told him I'd probably wake up before then. Then I asked him what time it was. He said it was four in the morning. I told him I'd still probably wake up before eleven. He didn't believe me.
Until I woke up, completely naturally, at 8:45. Sleep is for the weak!
So, yeah. I walked back to my dorm. It's so out of the way it's not even fair. It was a 20 minute walk or thereabouts. All the main walking routes were paved of snow, leaving ice underneath for me to slip on. I nearly fell on my face about five thousand times but managed to make it back without any real mishap. Of course, there came the problem in getting to my dorm in that the entrance to my dorm is not paved through. After crossing the street, I came across a veritable wall of snow, up to my thighs (I'm short) and three feet wide. Apparently people had walked over it before, because despite it's height it was fairly packed and I didn't sink far when I stepped in it. So fucking annoying, I tell you.
Anyway, I really must go eat lunch now.
Other news:
On Bitter Water -- sorry for all of you expecting an update, but I don't think I'll be able to write one for another two weeks, what with finals and all. I was hoping to get it done last weekend, but now it's too late and I haven't the time. I don't even have time to design my mood icon set, as I planned to do this weekend. Bugger.
Everybody absolutely must see Once Upon a Time in Mexico. It was brilliant, action packed, violent, and fun -- almost cartoonlike. Also? Johnny Depp. Need I say more?
I changed my Everwood OT3 icon, so the one I was using before is now up for grabs. I'll leave a post on
bus_riders if anyone's interested.
