Aaaagh!

I just realized that I accidentally posted my birthday wishes for zoisite84 to my dream journal instead of my regular journal. Damnit!

So yesterday I got out of class around 9:00. Basically we're studing film adaptations, and the relation between film and literature. We'll be watching a lot of adaptations. We actually watched Adaptation (very, very bizarre movie -- I highly recommend it).

Syd, for future reference, in case I forget to put up an away message (and you know I will) I won't be on my computer until after 9:30 on Tues.

RL like a mad thing

First off, forgot my meal card in my dorm room, so since I couldn't do campus dining I ended up eating at some little burger place. This guy started talking to me. This HOT guy. He's, like, four years older than me and he goes to one of the local colleges (not Berkeley) -- and he's HOT. So I told him a bit about my summer classes and we chatted about poetry slams in the area (in reference to my hip hop and poetry classes). Lighter-skinned black guy, really tall (I'm really short, so that's probably a bit awkward), OMGSOPRETTY with a body that looked fit but not too huge (kinda like Peter Paige, I guess, in body type -- my favorite). Course it was kinda hard to exactly tell exactly since he was wearing all this clothing (QaF has ruined me for real life).

So yeah, I hardly ever flirt, so I'm sure I suck at it, but he didn't seem to mind. He was nice, and he was watching Monster (with Charlize Theron) on his laptop. I decided he was fairly interesting and gave him my number.



I was in a fabulous mood after that. I went to my hip hop class. I came back to my dorm. permetaform caught me on AIM and tried to send me Premiere, only the damn CD refused to burn to her computer. She asked some question about how fast AIM downloads go, and if it depends on the sender's connection or the receiver's. I was like -- my connection is mad fast because I'm on UC Berkeley's network.

She was like -- WTF? Berkeley?!? I'll just give you the CD!

Like OMG! I totally forgot she went to Berkeley!!! *fangirl squee* I got to meet permetaform -- it was so way cool. We met up for dinner. We ended up just talking about random fandom-y things till the restaurant we were eating in started to close up shop -- a good three hours, I think. I did my best to try to seduce her into the QaF (or at the very least, QaF RPS) fandom. We laughed over our mutual unsquickability (oh Severus, how you have corrupted us). I was reminded of the definition of pon-farr (I probably spelled that wrong). All in all? Best. Day. Ever.
