Why am I still up? It is 2:17. I have to get up at 6:30: so I can go to San Francisco and walk 10 km for AIDS.

:|

Also? My calves hurt for no apparent reason.

Mmmmmm'k. Going to bed now. Goodnight all.
lierdumoa: (to all skeet skeet mothafucka)
Okay, so I went to bed at 2:20 but didn't actually get to sleep till 4:00 because some evil insect trapped in my room kept buzzing right next to my ear right as I was about to nod off, forcing me to pull my arms out of the cocoon of my quilt and wave it away.

Regardless, I managed to get up on time (thanks to an alarm and a wake up call). I was told to wear layers, but I think right now the cold is the only thing that will keep me awake, so I'm sticking to a thin t-shirt.

Someone in my last entries comments told me Hal Sparks is supposed to be there. Here's hoping he is! *crosses fingers*

Also? Am using my thug!Randy. Cause he doesn't give a shit about my plebey sleep deprivation problems.

So. The walk.

It was lovely. People there cheering on from the sidelines. Old fat women bellydancing. People playing cover versions of "Baby You Can Drive My Car" by the Beatles and "Summer Days" from Grease (not sure about the names, but you know the songs I'm talking about) on tuba. Drummers. Elaborate quilts with words and pictures sewn on (including one of a man with a giant cock made out of stuffed hose). Some guy blowing bubbles and wearing a bosom as a hat (IDONTKNOWWHATITWASITLOOKEDLIKEABOSOM). Pom poms made out of yellow police tape. AND SO MUCH MORE! Good stuff.

However, the stabbing pain in my knees is worrying me. Oh, the lengths we go to for free t-shirts.

Yes, Hal Sparks was there! He was speaking when we arrived. I heard him before I saw him -- his voice is very, how shall I say...recognizable (that was for you, [livejournal.com profile] misswindy). I only saw him from a distance, but the rest of him is also quite recognizable. Cause you know...he's on tv. He gave a very nice inspirational speech and introduced the next speaker and that was all I saw of him.

Also, Berkeley? Is so damn cheap. We were the only group walking that did not provide food at the end. We also came an hour later than we were supposed to. Don't think we missed anything, though.

Saw a commercial in the SF subway whatever the hell you call it station. It was a girl wearing a t-shirt that said "My mom went to gay pride and all I got was another mom." It made me giggle. Also saw some teenager in a t-shirt that said "Free Martha / Prison: It's a bad thing."

I think I'm going to have to leave for class early tomorrow. Cause no way I'm going to be able to speedwalk as fast as I usually do. Life hard.
