Of all the challenge vids, this one nailed the 'milestone' theme the best, imo. As I said to Flo in a previous post, thematically, every single vid in existence would more or less answer this challenge, considering vidders generally explore moments of transition/change via their creations.
But here, there was no need for stretching anything to fit the theme because the lyrics and clip choices *were* the theme.
I've never seen an ep of Jeremiah, but I felt the milestones, the losses, and felt them deeply. I don't know about Kurdy, but they broke *my* heart over and over again.
Some esp. notable sequences -
The first 'I look into your eyes' and his child-scrawled 'I'm alone.' *sobs*
'God' with the light washing over Jeremiah and Kurdy. Heh.
And then of course, the final 'When will I get the chance to say I love you, I pretend that you're already mine, That my heart ain't breaking every time I look into your eyes.' GAH!
The use of slo-mo when she gets shot and then her eyes and smile as she lays there rival Kurdy's heartbreaking fall to his knees in the closing moments of the vid.
And now, I must know, did Jeremiah betray Kurdy? Is he on the helicopter at the end? What happened next? Please tell me things eventually worked out for Kurdy!!!!!
