Life's a Party

I am trying to get into but after the first episode am feeling kinda 'blah' about it. It's not that I hate it, or even dislike it, but it hasn't grabbed me either as the pilot was so similar to the original, - it just mad me want to rewatch the old version. I'm kind of digging the 'illegal alien' angle of it, and making Michael gay, though it felt a bit on the nose in the pilot which makes me wonder whether it's gonnna fizzle out real quick. It doesn't help that neither of the actors who play Lis and Max are peaking my interest. I'm still dl but it might go onto the 'to watch at a later date' pile. Keep me updated how you find the show going forward and if it gets renewed for a second season I'll check it out.
