I had a good night last night. Spent about half of it poking at my flist waiting for it to update. The bad half. The good half, though, I spent drinking champagne and listening to nice music and curling up against Reno's side (friendly character -- he makes a very nice pillow). Got drunk. Didn't actually start feeling drunk until I took a hit off someone's bong. Didn't get badly drunk, though -- no hangover, I'm happy to say.

It was raining, but stopped just in time for the new year, when we all went out on the roof, got out sparklers and sang "Auld Lang Syne" (we trailed off about halfway through and never really finished the song). We could actually see the big fireworks show in San Francisco from our rooftop. They did a lot of shaped fireworks. Stars and bows and a smiley face at one point. Interesting show -- all the other fireworks I've seen have been generally circular. I pretty much went to bed after that. Slept like a log. Woke up and the sun was shining.

Well, I'm off to vid. Or write fic. Or something. I'll probably work in breakfast at some point. I should probably re-read all the fic I read last night.
