A phone conversation with
permetaform last night regarding un-translated Saiyuki scans:
her: Noooooo, it stops there? I have to know what happens next!
me: It's in Japanese! You don't even know what's happening now!
her: Details.
In any case, we were delighted to discover that Minekura actually uses different handwriting for Hakkai and Gojyo's text bubbles. Hakkai's speech is more formal. I'd never have known this as it's not something they try to imitate in scanlations.
Also, someone put this up on the fridge yesterday. I temporarily borrowed it to scan to my computer.

Click here for a larger version of the picture.
Found in the National section of yesterday's The New York Times. The caption under it reads:
Looking Ahead
Laura Bush addressed a class called "Passport to Manhood" yesterday at the Boys and Girls Club in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Mrs. Bush, who sat next to Bilal Lawton, 14, plans to focus on the developmental needs of adolescent boys in her second term as first lady.
I could make a snarky comment on this, but I think it speaks for itself.
Happy Birthday
