Pairing: Gale/Randy
Summary: Random bits and pieces that never got worked into an outline, let alone a story.
A/N: Man, I totally forgot I wrote these.
Circumstances of Death: See above.
Randy: Do you miss women?
Gale: What?
Randy: Like, having sex with women. Like, vaginas.
Gale: Fucking an ass doesn't feel that much different from fucking a vagina. Well, except for that whole self lubricating factor.
*pause*
Gale: I kinda miss boobs, though.
"Fuck!" he yells. "Why does everything have to be so fucking hard?"
He slings his arms around me and presses his face into the crook of my neck. "I don't know," I reply, sliding my fingers up into his hair. And suddenly I find myself laughing softly against his neck.
"What?" he asks, his adam's apple bobbing just next to my lips. I just shake my head. Even when we're angry enough at each other to spit, this still feels right.
The casual touching increases, and Gale begins to suspect that perhaps Randy and his boyfriend are having problems. Why else has his affection towards Gale been steadily increasing. Maybe it's just residual effects of the show, but surely Randy would have noticed his behavior and put a stop to it.
Simon doesn't seem to mind. He just sees it as friendliness. It's not like Randy gives him a reason to suspect anything. In fact, when Randy and Simon are together, it's like Gale doesn't exist. Are you that blind? Gale wonders. Are you that blind, that you don't notice how he touches me, or the way he jumps on after we do a heavy scene? Don't you know he's just working out his frustrations on you? He's using you, Simon. He's using you.
But then, Randy's careful. He probably knows better than to let his sexual frustrations on set affect his sex life with his boyfriend. Randy must be so careful and in control of his impulses that it isn't even an issue. Randy must be able to so carefully partition off the part of himself that loves Gale from the part of himself that is dating Simon that the boyfriend never has reason to suspect a thing.
Sometimes, though, Gale wonders if Simon suspects nothing because there's nothing to suspect. Wonders if Randy's only tactile with him so that when Gale is tactile with Randy it will look normal, and not a breach of intimacy. Wonders if Randy doesn't go off after their heavy sex scenes to work off frustrations because really, Gale's the only one feeling frustrated.
No, he thinks. This has to be mutual. Because that bright, beautiful grin or Randy's, if it isn't real, is a crying offense.
But there's a niggling fear at the back of Gale's mind. That Randy
write a fic where Simon hates Randy's mohawk and Gale loves it and Gale and Randy are giggling over themselves while Simon sulks in a corner.
This fandom has made me evol.
It was two weeks into their first season that Gale realized that he actually quite liked Randy. Because Randy was annoying, and not in a good way. Okay, so that wasn't exactly a reason for liking him, but it worked for Gale.
Randy said that he found the whole thing kind of ridiculous. Getting excited over a tv show. Gale grinned and said, "You don't watch tv?"
"No."
"That's really fucking weird."
"Just because my preferences differ from the average American's doesn't make me abnormal."
Gale laughed. "Okay, so you're pretentious *and* you're weird. Nothing on tv?"
"Well, I just don't like tv shows much. I like some stuff I've seen on the History channel. Nature programs aren't bad."
Gale's eyes widened comically. "Did you see that thing they had on Galapagos tortoises the other week?"
"Uhm, no?"
"Man, you should watch it if you get the chance. It was great seeing them fight. They look like they're in slow motion. It's *hilarious.*"
Whe Gale saw Randy's skepticism at the supposed hilarity of fighting tortoises, he summarily went off on a tangent that Randy didn't really bother to follow. Something about "alpha males" and a "ripe female" and "staking claims" and "third one comes up while the other two are still fighting and starts doing her from behind" -- wait, what?
"What?"
Gale grinned. "You weren't paying attention, were you."
"I was, I just --"
"Hey, it's fine. Apparently we don't watch Animal Planet for the same reasons. I'll see you tomorrow on set."
Randy kept thinking that Gale's lips looked kind of pinker than usual and they were probably chapped. That he had a crayon that was almost that color once, and he lost it, or that one kid who sat next to him stole it, and Gale was probably the kind of guy who stole crayons when he was a little kid. Randy decided he didn't like Gale at all.
