Idea.

We've got Will Turner, the young freshman. Total geek. Totally hot geek, who's totally oblivious to female attention. Plays Halo and Grand Theft Auto all the time, major undeclared. (Note to self: find friends who game to beta.)

We've got Elizabeth, Will's best friend who's often mistaken for his girlfriend. Will is just too oblivious to her obvious affection to make a move. Elizabeth wears halter tops with cargo pants and boots. Eye makeup, but no lipstick. Electrical engineering major who makes anime music videos in her free time. Hardly ever plays video games but manages to beat Will bloody whenever she does (probably because he's too busy trying not to stare at her near naked back -- damn those halter tops).

Down the hall in the dorm, we've got the unlikliest of roommates. Jack Sparrow and James Norrington, resident grad students. James who graduated in literature and plans to become a lit prof. Can beat the pants off anyone at pool but never plays for money. He and his roommate argue like an old married couple when they're not falling asleep on top of each other on their couch from staying up too late watching the History Channel (they fight over the remote, of course, but James always wins). James wears lots of khaki pants and plaid button downs. Jack wears jeans and novelty t-shirts, his favorite of which he picked up off a street seller in the market that reads, "I Eat More Pussy Than Cervical Cancer."

Speaking of Jack, double majored in Chemistry and Women's Studies. As for the former, he's a bit of an arsonist, among other character flaws. As for the latter, he took one class as a laugh and fell totally in love with his professor, one Dr. Nigrette Pearling. Managed to start a rather unconventional affair with her a year before he graduated and currently works as one of her tutors.

I've got this idea for oblivious Will accidentally mixing up his laundry with Jack's back in the dorm laundry room and not noticing until coming home from a day of classes and seeing Jack walk by wearing his black t-shirt that says "W00t!" in large white letters. He looks down at his own chest, sees the word "Chastity" glaring up at him in nuclear orange, crinkles his brow in confusion, goes to follow Jack and fix the mixup only to have Jack's apt. door slammed in his face.

And, uh, yeah. That's all I have for now. hippediva? adrienne2? permetaform? I'm totally willing to make a project out of this if I can get some help.

You are so on----thoughts about Jack----potential revolutionary, running an underground online paper out of the dorm room...has double secret life--Is working with G.U. (Geek Underground) trying to develop a video game that will hack into the all world-wide computer networks and disable every nuclear weapon in the world. Will, as the ultimate gamer, is the key to unleashing it. Except Jack keeps playing with his chemistry set and blowing things up. Sounds possible?

Oh wait, I've got it. Barbossa is Dr. Pearling's ex husband and former school dean who was fired for shady dealings, which Jack brought to public attention with the help of the G.U.

YES! And Barbossa wants to get ahold of the video game so he can Take Over the World (shades of Dr. Evil!) And the monkey is a demented cloned lab experiment who's smarter than everyone else (like My Apprentice!)

Whee! Yes, we loves the monkey. I'm pondering the possibilities right now. Will have more thoughts on that later.

I have this idea for Nigrette where she doesn't really talk so much as go "hmmm" and "ah" and clear her throat and arch her eyebrows and gesticulate, and Jack just reads her moods and acts for the most part completely whipped around her, but in his charming Jack Sparrow way.

Jack is still an outrageous flirt, of course. I think he needs to snog James, Will, and Elizabeth with plenty of tongue at least once each.

Actually, you know adrienne2 was telling me about this thing gamers do where get crazy good at games and win prizes within the game that no regular player would ever be able to win and then sell said electronic trophies on e-bay for a shitload of money. Total scam, it's ridiculous. I need to look this up. Could be useful.
