So I talked to my sister. She basically told me -- you don't seem to be in that much danger of flunking, and even if you are, it really isn't as big a deal as you're making it out to be. Stop with the spazzing. Go excercise -- you'd be less stressed if you did.

I feel better now.

Also, aotearoagal made me the most beautiful icon (which I am using right now). Generally when it comes to icons I can handle animation and basic text, but if I want pretty text, I'm stuck asking others. I asked her if she did requests and she told me to just find her a picture in which to add the requested text. I did, and voila! Totally made my morning.

Cool morning all around.

Last night was good too. I went to an acapella concert and I enjoyed it muchly. I had a nice chat with silentfire (who friended me...oh...a week ago? something like that). I love meeting people! It's a grinning deal. Turns out she lives near me and goes to what is generally referred to by my familiars as the "other" college in town). Hum...I don't think "familiars" is the right word there. Makes it sound like they're my cats (that is, a witch's familiar, for those that didn't get the lame-assed joke I just made). I also got friended yesterday by permetaform and recieved feedback from her (I'm fairly positive I got the gender right on that pronoun) for BW. Two delightful things. I recognize her vaguely from her postings/comments in pirategasm (the PotC slash fic community) -- she has one of the loveliest Captain Jack Sparrow icons I've seen and I feel obligated to applaud her for it. *applause* Also? Fellow Snape/Black fan. You don't find too many of those around. I'm squeeing all over the place, here.

Also, a shout out to noiresensus (I think she prefers to be called mage) and angelcat35 (memes like a mad thing), who friended me a while back based on appreciation for my fic. I have fans! Yay! I rock. noiresensus also has a fic archive (on which my fic is archived) which you can find via the website link in her userinfo because unlike many fic archives, this one's actually pretty to look at. It has frames and is in general very elegant in the visual department. Lots of anime fanfiction in addition to HP, LotR, and PotC. I haven't had a chance to read it all and probably won't be getting a chance to do so in the near future.

Winter vacation has to come around some time, I suppose.

Now I must do physics. So much fun! Soooo much fun! (and I've spent my daily allotment of crippling sarchasm -- more snark tomorrow, I promise)

Ha! Yes. I'll tell folks I've turned into a pervy necrophiliac and it's all J.K.R.'s fault.

The death really threw a wrench in my plans for Bitter Water. I was trying to make it fairly streamlined with canon. I mean, techically I could just pretend that Sev somehow manages to save Sirius from the veil (we never saw a body -- there's no proof he's dead), but miraculous rescues are so lame. If I want to keep my happy ending (which I do, because I refuse, absolutely refuse to end any long fic in unhappiness) and avoid the whole soppy savior scene, I'll probably have to just change the end of OotP to suit my purposes.

Agh -- I'll probably end up doing a rescue scenario anyway, because pretending the whole veil thing never happened feels like too much of a cop out. I'll just pray my ending doesn't turn out too crappy.

Okay, this comment has gone on far too long. I should save long whiny rants like these for journal posts.
