So maybe some of you are wondering why I offered to vid Battlestar Galactica considering I've never spoken of the show on my lj. Well, I don't have a tv so I haven't been watching it when it's come on. I discovered that someone uploaded the entire thing onto my co-op server. Last week I finally broke down and started watching it. I'm a little over halfway through.

There are two reasons I'm watching. The first is that I like the premise of it, and I like how it's playing out. I'm very interested in all the characters interpersonal relationships. I like what they're doing with religion in it, and the whole monotheism vs. polytheism thing going on. I like the military vs. government thing going on. I really like the exploration of artificial intelligence and what it means to have a soul.

The second reason is that I have a giant crush on Starbuck.

She needs to be sexed.

If you'll allow me to digress, a while back I watched

f1renze's Hex vid for the first time (see here). It was an excellent vid. By all rights I should have been violently pimped into the fandom. Except I wasn't. I pondered this. I came to the conclusion that I have a hard time getting pimped into fandoms unless I want to fuck at least one of the characters. I'm shallow. That's allowed. I'd probably be better pimped into the fandom with good fic than with a vid, as it seems I have no physical attraction to anyone in the show. Not to say that anyone on it is unattractive, just that no one is particularly attractive to me. Physically.

Take my X-Men obsession, for example. Before Bobby and St. John were hot together, they were hot all by themselves. God, I love that movie. Okay, enough digressing.

And here is where I wax poetic about Starbuck. She's got that whole really strong and athletic and at the same time very soft looking thing going on. The arms! And the lips! And the uber-blonde hair and the hips and the abs and okay stopping now.

So anyway, I decided to share my love of the Starbuck with my roommate, who saw her and agreed immediately with me on all counts. The following conversation ensued:

Me: I love her lips. I love her hair. I love...her.

adrienne2: (making fun of me) I love her lips, I love her hair, I would love her anywhere.
Me: ::long pause::
Me: And I would eat her in a box. And I would eat her with a fox.

adrienne2: ::laughs hysterically::
Me: Okay, that was kinda wrong.

So now, here I am. Perverting Dr. Seuss. One tv crush at a time.
