lierdumoa: (life hard? vid [permetaform])

[livejournal.com profile] permetaform came over yesterday and I showed her the WIP of Gia!vid. She managed to give me some advice on making the Gia/Gia's Mom section clearer. I don't know how much it will help though, because the lyrics go by *so fast* and the beat goes by *even faster* and my cutting is such that, well...

I'm reminded of a conversation I had a few months ago. Again, with [livejournal.com profile] permetaform. She showed me the WIP of her After Midnight vid and asked me, "Is it too subtle?" to which I replied, "Yes, but only in the sense that your entire vid is a subliminal message."

Yeah. It's kinda like that.

Meanwhile, I woke up this morning uninspired. I'm totally *not* in a creative place right now. So instead of finishing Gia!vid, I'm working on clipping for auction!vid. Yes, I haven't clipped yet. I am *that* behind. Well, I have nothing to do on the 4th of July, and my auction!vid song is blessedly slooow (like, literally 1/4 the speed of Gia!vid), which means I'll have slow cutting, which means I can probably get the first two minutes done by Monday night (the song is 3:44).

OMG where is my brain? I just had a crisis moment where I couldn't remember if the days of the week were supposed to be capitalized or not.

Anyway, figured out exactly what I'm doing for the beginning and end credits. It'll be awesome. Outlining should be pretty easy, considering [livejournal.com profile] boniblithe did a lot of it for me. The beauty of all this is, of course, that my computer (just barely) has room for both projects at the same time, so I can actually alternate between the two when one isn't moving like it should be.

Well anyway, in real life, I just got back from a five hour bonus editing session w/ my film group. It's really coming together. Mostly what we did tonight was get the musical score working. I had a cool conversation w/ one of my groupmembers' roommates, who also goes to our same digital arts college. Apparently she hears music and dreams of animating music videos to them. I was like, "OMG, that's totally what I'm doing for this one manga! I don't know if you heard of it. It's called Death Note." She was like, "Oh, yeah, I've seen a lot of good art for that online!"

Right, then. Back to vidding.
