Ever since vividcon I've been getting nonstop LKBV ideas. absolut3destiny is apparently suffering from the same affliction.


"Africa" by Toto is totally a Buffy vid. Because the first slayer was from Africa. GET IT?!? GET IT?!? Buffy knows that she must do what's right -- sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti.

"Loverly" from the My Fair Lady soundtrack is totally an SGA vid, all about Ronon. Yes, yes it is. adrienne2 and I agree.

"99 Problems" by Jay-Z is totally an SGA vid to Rodney. "I've got 99 problems, but a bitch ain't one." Rodney's a cat person. Nuff said.

"People Are Strange" by The Doors to Donnie Darko. "Faces look ugly when you're alone."

"I've Got My Mind Set On You" by George Harrison to Smallville. Clark/Lex, of course. "I've got my mind set on you, but it's going to take money, a whole lot of spending money. It's going to take plenty of money to do it right, child." I can't believe he actually ends every sentence in that song with "child." WTF George? WTF? Poor 15 yr old season 1 Clark.

"Doll Parts" by Hole to Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is an old idea, but now I know what to call it.

Why, why, why has no one vidded a Highlander Duncan/Methos vid to "My Immortal"? IT PRACTICALLY VIDS ITSELF.


All this music on my computer that I thought was safe from my vidbrain, but suddenly realize it is just chock full of untapped potential. I can vid "Jesse's Girl" now! And "I Want Candy" and "Voices Carry" by Till Tuesday and "Jenny 1675309" and "Natural Woman" by Aretha Franklin and "All The Things She Said" by TATU and "Zombie" by The Cranberries and omg so many LKBV possibilities.

"Bullet with Butterfly Wings" by the Smashing Pumpkins to Office Space, though that isn't LKBV so much as regular comedy.

My favorite LKBV idea so far has been a Veronica Mars vid: Logan/Weevil Quit Playing Games With My Heart. Because, well. Hee hee.

....except that I'm kind of terrified to do an LKBV for VMars, because I don't think the fandom will get it. This is a fandom that accepts Logan/Veronica to Barry Manilow with a straight face, after all.

In fact, "People Are Strange" bit me a while back for an Andrew vid--I also didn't realize that it was in fact a LKBV, I just made sure to put it towards the back of the list. ;D

Heh, uhm, it wasn't so much a LKBV idea, as just an awful idea. I wanted to do one with several Buffy-verse people in it. I was thinking Oz, Angelus, and Amy. 'Cause y'know, rat, cage. More goofy than actually creative. ;D

I found the PERFECT LKBV song: "My pictures" by the Cure. Oh the angsty. ogh the emo. O I listen to the Cure, I'm SO deep!

And I don't think 80s automatically makes for badvid. I was a really good drag vid to "Natural Woman."

I have no idea. I only heard it once, and we were laughing our fannies off at how utterly teen-angsty it was. It was like the spoiled overprivilieged kid version of the stereotypical Country Hurting Song: My wife ran off with my best friend in my truck and hit my dog on the way out.


Bunny is working on a SW slash vid to "Still Rock & Roll to me." I don't know how or why, but she's making it work.

"I Want it That Way" -- omfg that was, like, my favorite song when I was a freshman in high school. I knew all the words and everything. And I didn't even like backstreet boys, but for some reason I fucking loved that song.
