My weekend has been insane thus far. First of all, it's a four day weekend (yay!). It started off late Friday night. It would have started Friday afternoon, only I was doing calculus homework until around 7:00pm. Basically, Friday was the day from hell, as i was doing homework from 3:00 in the morning to 7:00 at night (with an hour long break for my physics class). I ended up doing finishing homework alongside a friend. I decided not to walk back to my dorm, seeing as it was a fifteen minute walk through wind and bitter cold (uphill, both ways, in the snow, wearing shoe boxes for shoes). Please note that I'm only exaggerating about the part in parenthesis.
So where was I? Oh yeah. I walked back to her dorm with her. She lives in Senior Haus -- a dorm with something of a reputation on my campus (for sexual fetishism and hard drug use). She lives in a tamer area of the dorm, where no one smokes and they get their kicks learning about poi and discussing the near death experiences they had while visiting Africa. Again -- not exaggerating. I ended up singing along to Beatles music and crashing in my friend's bed while she crashed in somebody else's. I missed One Piece but I think it was worth it, as I finally managed to make friends aside from the people I met over the summer (search my archives and you'll see plenty or back entries referring to the summer program I was in, more fondly remembered as The Two Month HELL). They're interesting people who offer to feed me from their constantly well stocked fridge. I'm talking fresh food here -- vegetables, fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, etc. I'm telling you -- best weekend *evah.*
I returned to my dorm Saturday morning to find that the ethernet cable I had been borrowing had been reclaimed by the original owner. Translation: no internet access. *screams* I had to use my school's hateful computers to check my e-mail. I wasn't able to get a new cable until yesterday, and then I found that the outlet for it was no longer functional. There was another outlet in my room, thankfully. The location is a tad inconvenient, but thankfully the cable I got was long enough to span the length of my room (which is pretty much what it ended up doing). I went back on Saturday when I realized I'd left some leftovers in Senior Haus' fourth floor kitchen. I ended up reading The Vagina Monologues (property of my friend -- good book too) and making myself some food and visiting a bit. Sunday evening I went over and helped make two pies, apple and strawberry -- *yum.* I crashed there again before returning to my dorm Monday morning (once I'm there, I tend to stay a while, as I'm reluctant to go back and walk for twenty minutes in thirty degree weather).
But I see I forgot to mention the best part of my weekend. The Pretty. The Pretty lives in Senior Haus. The Pretty has slightly overlong mouse-ish hair and obscenely long eyelashes and brown eyes so light they're almost yellow. However, I don't want to confuse him with other Pretty now do I? So, for the sake of clarity, let's just call him Remus Lupin and have done with.
Yep, Remus Lupin lives in Senior Haus. And he wants to teach me to contact juggle. It's a performed hobby, in the same manner as poi -- something you might attribute to street performers. Have you ever seen anyone contact juggle? Let me tell you, it's quite possibly the sexiest thing I've ever seen a man do while fully clothed. I think my brain might have leaked out my ear.
Other news -- I've been watching more of Prince of Tennis. That show gets better with each episode, I swear. I'm totally in love with it. It's completely absorbing, and not boring at all, as I was afraid it would be. Even the dumb background music has grown on me. Tezuka's still hot sex on toast and Fuji? *shiver* I'm convinced that Oishi and Eiji are meant to be. If I write slash, it will probably be all about them two. I've watched up to episode 50 so far and I can't wait to see the rest. Expect some kind of PoT quiz meme in my next journal entry.
evenstarjuliet, you really ought to see this anime. You can download the episodes from HERE. Indulge me and watch a few, if only for the opportunity to hear a male cartoon character tell another male cartoon character "Fuck off, bitch" in Japanese (ep. 38).
That's all for now.
;o)
