So today marks the first day of my finals studying marathon. My sister put me in contact with a physics tutor who helped her a lot in her freshman year -- hopefully he'll be able to spare some time. *crosses fingers*
Anyway, so I'm limiting my internet time, which basically means I'm not reading my friends page or checking my yahoo! e-mail more than once a day. I might take a few breaks to finish my "multi-variable calculus is a nasty bitch" icon. Next semester I'll have to change it to something like "university mathematics is a nasty bitch" (for all those Europeans on my friends list, here in America mathematics is a singular noun, so I'm allowed to use the word is). Anyway...yeah. It'll be animated, and maybe even funny to someone other than me.
Okay, so yeah. Last night I decided to free up some space on my hard drive. After about an hour, 50 One Piece episodes were transferred to 16 CD's, freeing up approxiamately 7 GB of space. Due the the size of the files, I was only able to fit 3 episodes per 700 MB CD (except for two of the CD's, in which I was able to fit four). It was very aggravating, since that fourth file tended to only go about 3 KB over the CD limit.
All I can say is, thank God for 48x CD burners.
Anyway, I'm putting all my anime and Dilbert episodes on CD, but leaving all the regular TV shows and movies on my computer -- for now, anyway. The Dilbert episodes are much smaller files than the One Piece episodes, but that's mostly due to screen resolution, I think.
On the weather front, it is raining like a mad thing out there, melting the snow and such. I should say it's cold and wet, but after this weekend, it's hard to think of anything wet as cold, since cold to me now translates to below freezing, at which point all wet things turn solid and lose their liquid attributes. So, yeah. It's wet. I think I prefer it to be cold, and not raining. On the bright end, it got me to buy an umbrella -- a very cute one too.
In other news, Orlando Bloom has *mad* *hair*. See what I mean: Hair!. I even made an icon for it, which is now in with the others. And now the song from Hair (the Broadway musical) is stuck in my head. You know -- "Gimme a head with hair. Long beautiful hair. Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen..."
And for a random bit of trivia, Treat Williams (the dad in Everwood) was in the film version of the musical. Good musical. Definite must see.
