SGA Fanart!

My brain does not seem to want to get into vidding mode today. So. I'm switching around my posting schedule for this week. Fanart first. Then vids. This is the first time I've drawn fanart since my art class. I can draw clothes now! Sort of. Okay, so John's t-shirt looks wet, but it's not like that's a *bad* thing.

Scene taken from rageprufrock's brilliant WIP, Ladies Night at the Boom Boom Room (see pt. 1|2|3). John, the very bad no good horrible stripper of a bartender.

Notes
- Drawing time was approx. four and a half hrs.
- Materials include acid free heavy weight vellum paper, F and HB drawing pencils, vinyl eraser, art gum and smudge stick.
- Note teardrop sized rip in paper on upper left pantleg. Vinyl erasers are the devil.
- I like pronounced hip divots. Call it artistic license.

Heh. I had an art teacher who was convinced that contours were the devil. I got used to never outlining anything. I think it helps the drawing look more three dimensional. It took me a while to get clothing right. I'm glad the clothes turned out like they did.

Heee. Yes, stripper John. I was going for smouldering and flirty, mainly, but I'm glad his expression isn't totally definitive. John shouldn't be easy too read, or at least, he isn't on the show.

I like pronounced hip divots too. I think the bit with the hip divots is my favorite part of the pic. Yup. *NOT drooling, honest*
