evenstarjuliet, I'm sure you're wondering why I wasn't at lunch yesterday.

So I went to the student center for food in the early afternoon. The cold was stinging my eyes so badly I cried all the way there. I am so not cut out for this weather. Anyway, so I decided the free lunch was too far away and instead went to the crepe place. I ate a two egg breakfast with potatoes and sausage and a crepe (of course). I hadn't had anything to drink, so I went to Alpine to get a smoothie.

So, I ordered my smoothie, and I was standing in line when I started to get really hot and really dizzy. And then I couldn't stand up anymore. So I fell down. A bunch of people helped me to a chair and got me a large cup of water. I sat there and drank the water. Then the woman making my smoothie brought it to me, and I drank that too. I felt pretty okay as soon as I started drinking the water, but just to be safe, as soon as I'd finished the smoothie and paid for it, I called my sister (who luckily was at her apartment and not in class) and had her walk to me to the med center. I was there for, like, two hours, and finally they figured that I was just dehydrated. After two hours! Fuckin' quacks. Meh.

Most annoying part of the whole experience was that I hit my face when I fell. My lip hurts. *pout*

It's weird, though. I'm normally so healthy. I've never collapsed anywhere before. I haven't been drinking markedly less than usual. I suppose, though, that with the weather lately I should be drinking more than usual. It was kind of scary. I had, like, no control over my body. Of course, it was only for about half a minute, but still.

Anyway, so after I left the med center I went back to my dorm, chatted for a short while on AIM, ate (and drank!), then went to sleep. I thought I was only going to take a nap, but ended up waking up at 6:00AM. Now the lawn in front of my dorm is completely blanketed with snow. It looks so pretty! I guess this could qualify as the first real snowfall of the year. I'm using my holiday icon in honor of it.

Also? It's twenty degrees Fahrenheit outside -- seven with wind chill. Brrrr!
