Yesterday was my twenty-first birthday. My birthday was very relaxing. I slept and ate cookies. The man at the register did not card me when I bought ale, and I was kind of disappointed. Is it like a rule? They don't card you on your birthday? Maybe I should have gone to a liquor store instead of the local grocery.

I've been watching the new tv shows. I really like Heroes and Standoff.
fashes and I have been talking about making a crack!music community for a while. I'm currently composing lists of songs by theme.
songs w/ clapping (it's a thing -- if a song has clapping I automatically love it; same goes for movies that have dancing and/or that actor who played Rufio in Hook):
"Sinnerman" by Nina Simone
"Price of Gas" by Bloc Party
"Pass That Dutch" by Missy Elliot
"Iko Iko" by The Dixie Cups
"She Began to Lie" from The General's Daughter OST
songs with male and female voices:
"Nothing Better" by Postal Service
"Mohammad My Friend" by Tori Amos and Maynard (sadly I only have a live version, with obnoxious screaming fans all through)
"The Fear You Won't Fall" by Joshua Radin
"Antihistamine" by Tricky
"I Know What I Know" by Paul Simon
"Jig of Life" by Kate Bush
"Stan" by Eminem
song remakes done by an artist of the opposite gender:
"Jolene" by Dolly Parton, cover by The White Stripes (eheheh heheh heh)
"All Apologies" by Nirvana, cover by Sinead O'Connor (your eyes are squinting, aren't they?)
"I Alone" by Live, cover by Anouk
"Milkshake" by Kelis, cover by Richard Cheese
"Bonnie & Clyde" by Eminem, cover by Tori Amos
"(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" by The Rolling Stones, cover by Cat Power (this cover? her voice? PORN)
"Fever" by Peggy Lee, cover by Elvis
"Fiddle and the Drum" by Joni Mitchell, cover by A Perfect Circle
"No Ordinary Love" by Sade, cover by The Deftones
Reccommendations for any of these categories would be most welcome!
Also? Rockapella (you know, the "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" people) totally has a cover of "Carry On My Wayward Son." I'm annoyed because I can't find their cover of "Long Cool Woman (in a Black Dress)" anywhere.
