Life goes on
Jul. 20th, 2003 01:33 pmAgh! I am so frustrated right now! I can't write. Anything. At all. I feel like Bitter Water Ch. 4 is never going to get written. I feel like even if I didn't have writer's block I still wouldn't have any time to write anything. I had a Clex fic I was working on and I can't get past the opening scene. My Buffy fic...well...it hasn't been updated in months. Fighting Silence hasn't been updated in a month. I have FOUR WIP's and NONE of them are going ANYWHERE!
Oh yeah -- and my website? I was supposed to update and redo the whole fiction section. Notice the glaring lack of updating/redoing going on there.
What happened to my summer? What happened to free time? What happened to sleep?
Oh yeah -- and WHERE THE FUCK IS MY MUSE?!?!
And the frosting on the cake:
misswindy said she would be finishing "Through the Wire" in like two days -- that was four days ago. Grrr. Arrgh!
Oh yeah -- and did I mention I'm flunking Physics?
*sobs uncontrollably*
Maybe if I just sit here and type for two hours I'll get something written.
In happier news -- I went to a dance last night. I *love* dancing (well...more like grinding/swiveling my hips provocatively). It was so much fun. I even got compliments on my dancing. One girl asked if I went clubbing. (I don't, just so you know -- I learned to dance from watching inordinate amounts of MTV2)
Oh yeah -- and here's the best part: Dan and Antoinne.
Let me clarify.
Dan and Antoinne are two moderately tall, quite attractive guys. They both know how to dance. They also look *hot* together. Not that they are together since they are both straight. Well, at least I'm pretty sure Antoinne is straight. I'm not too sure about Dan -- he may just be bi.
Ah, but I digress.
Let me start from the beginning.
I'm in a summer program for the college I will be going to. The summer program decided to host a dance party -- all 70+ members were invited.
Act I; Scene II
We see a large room, dimly lit. Ventilation is poor; the air is thick and hot. There is music -- club music -- a slow, hard beat pounding relentlessly in the background.
Enter Dan and Antoinne. Both are looking good, in a way that isn't entirely heterosexual. They are standing around, waiting for something to happen.
I turn to my roomate. I jokingly tell her, "Oh my God -- if [they] start dancing together, I will fucking take a picture."
And then -- oh, yes -- the true party begins. A girl (whose identity I cannot recall at the moment) starts dancing. Dan comes up to her from behind. Antoinne approaches her from the front. Suddenly both of them are facing eachother and dancing around her (grinding/swiveling their hips provocatively).
Now let me clarify something for you. The girl was about a foot shorter than both of them. So when I say that they were facing eachother, I mean that she wasn't even in their line of sight.
Let me clarify something else for you. the room was dark. The girl was almost completely covered in their shadows. You practically couldn't see her. What you *could* see were two hot guys practically *undulating* together on the dance floor.
*sigh* -- And me without my camera.
I actually did go and fetch my camera. Sadly, the incident was not to be repeated. They didn't dance together (around a girl) for the rest of the night.
But I still have my memories.
Hell -- I've written them down in my journal! I knew I'd find a use for this thing!
In other news -- you may have noticed I changed the whole look of my livejournal to take on a Cowboy Bebop theme. I still have to work out the kinks, because my friends page is really hard to read with the wallpaper I put in. I just need to figure out how to watermark the wallpaper image so that text appearing on top of it is easier to see. (many thanks to
evenstarjuliet for showing me how to put in a wallpaper)
