I dont know what to say about this, but it's lovely. I've been rewatching it a lot the last few days (and singing the song under my breath even more) and there's something wonderfully sad and hopeful and brave about it. It's a beautiful way to see the SGA characters.

I first watched this vid as soon as you put it up and its become one of my favs, although it sometimes makes me tear up so I can't watch it as often as I'd like. Anyway, I saw my f-list mention it when talking about Escapade and that reminded me that I've never commented on it. So - I love this.

My favorite part is the repeated "you" because it begs the question - who are they trying to talk to and ultimately who is judging them? The vid holds up across the emergence of new canon for me because those are still relevant questions - how will the expedition be treated by history? By family members? By the people they've lost (Weir's now ex-lover, poor Ford's grandparents *sob*)? And emphasizes how alone some of the expedition members are - Rodney and John don't really seem to have anyone to write to, although Rodney finally seems to settle on his apparently estranged sister. But ultimately suggests that no one at home will ever really understand what it was like - that if they were to try to express this experience to a loved one from home, not only would it be horrifying (both their own actions and the Wraith), but there really aren't words that do these things justice.

There's so much here that I adore and go back for again and again even though it breaks me up. Thank you :)

So, wow. Very good. I liked that a lot.

On a side note: my older brother and sister were watching the first minute or so of this video and came to the conclusion that "wow, this is so sad, who's that guy?" Then when I told them that it was Dr. Zelenka, they asked me what episode he died in.

When I told them that no, he hadn't died, they got very confused and wandered off to let me watch the rest of the vid in peace.

I thought it was kind of funny.
