Rodney is very, very good at cunnilingus.
It was sort of an accident how he got that way. He had a girlfriend in college for about four months. She knew exactly what she wanted and wasn't afraid to complain—loudly—if he was doing something wrong. She was a little too much like him, actually. Penetration didn't do much for her, so they mainly stuck to oral. She was probably a lesbian practicing heterosexuality out of sheer convenience. It was hard enough to find women, let alone homosexual women in the astrophysics program.
Being in the astrophysics program was a dealbreaker when entering into a relationship with her. About ninety percent of the sex took place in the university labs at three in the morning when they were finished with the day's work and too tired to do more than lay on their sides and suck.
Rodney didn't mind, really. He didn't have time for actual dating, and besides sex was so much less complicated when you didn't have to look the other person in the eye.
They stopped seeing each other at the end of the semester, quite literally, when their lab times no longer coincided. Afterwards she let slip to a few of her female acquaintances that he was "kind of arrogant but gave fantastic head, which mostly made up for it." That was enough to keep his sex life fairly active for then next year or so.
He saw her once at a party. He was stumbling out of a very pretty brunette's bedroom (a screamer, that one) on the way to the bathroom when he ran into her. She raised an eyebrow at him. He grinned tipsily and asked her if she wanted him to return the favor and spread word of her own oratory skills.
"Let all the fratboys know I can deepthroat? Thanks but no thanks."
He'd shrugged, then glanced back at the bedroom he just left. "You know, I think she's bi. If you want I could introduce you."
"Introduce us?"
"Sure."
"Is this where you ask if you can stay and watch?"
"Well, only if you don't mind."

No skin off his back, really. Two months later he left for Northwestern to earn his first doctorate. He got an apartment near campus. His new next door neighbor was an swarthy Italian with wavy black hair, straight off the pages of a tawdry romance novel. The guy probably spent more on hair product than he did on his textbooks.
He introduced himself as an anthropology major and Rodney was forced to revise his opinion. He definitely spent more on hair product than he did on his textbooks. He was helping Rodney carry in the last of his furniture at the time he gave out this information, so Rodney tried hard not to sneer.
Well, he tried, in any case.
Four weeks later, Rodney ran into him at the twenty-four hour laundromat down the street. He was sitting cross-legged on one of the tables. He started chatting, which led to a long and convoluted debate wherein he tried to convice Rodney of the scientific importance of studying African tribal rituals and Rodney tried not to laugh in his face.
The argument petered out around three in the morning, right at the end of Rodney's final spin cycle. He dragged his clothes out of the dryer and stumbled over to the folding table his neighbor had laid claim to an hour and a half earlier.
The cross-legged position had long since degenerated into a sprawl. The man was now sitting with his shoulders slumped against the against the back wall, legs hanging off the edge of the table, knees spread. Rodney dropped his laundry in a pile next to him and eyed him expectantly. "Are you planning on moving any time soon?"
The guy grinned. "No, not really."
Rodney is very, very good at fellatio.
