I was surprised that it was Q who floated the idea and Eliot who 86'd it but when you think about it, of course, it's in line with their nature to respond like that. Fuck, I want them to be endgame, Alice who?!
It makes so much sense in hindsight given Q made the first move in the alternate timeline too. And maybe even the first time they had sex -- the flashbacks never actually show who started it but yeah -- Eliot really isn't the type to make a move unless the other person has already made it clear they're interested.
