lierdumoa | uuugh...vidding

I spent roughly half of yesterday vidding. I then spent a good deal of this morning vidding. Why isn't bitter one of the current mood options? More importantly, why did I do this to myself? Well, it's a long, complicated tale. You see, I had two vids I wanted to make. This one, and an OC one. Unfortunately, my harddrive could not accommodate the source material for both vids simultaneously. Not without burning my QaF episodes to disk, and I just can't bear to part with them.

Now due to a number of unique circumstances, I have to mail my computer tomorrow. I'm mailing it to a place without highspeed internet access. So I won't be able to make my OC vid at all unless I can download all the source material today. Of course, now the vid is finished. The episodes are deleted, and I have a lovely 20 GB of freespace (out of 74 GB total) available to host the entire OC series (21 eps.; approx. 10 GB).

Hopefully I'll be able to get online with

spaggel and coerce her into hosting the OZ vid for me.

But wait, there's more. I have a new vidbunny. For QaF cause, hey -- I have the entire series on my harddrive. Why *not* vid? VAST again, cause it's what's on my playlist right now. This time, I'm thinking the song "Flames." Why? It's soft and romantic. It has few lyrics and a lot of instrumental parts. And it's rife with sexual innuendo.

Now I'd been thinking earlier about how I could make a QaF vid entirely composed of sex scenes. Yes, *entirely* composed of sex scenes. And now? I've found the perfect song to do it with. The long instrumentals mean I get to play around a lot. Without lyrics getting in the way, I can concentrate on making my vid as shiny as possible. Also, the lyrics aren't very scene specific. I could pick from a dozen sex scenes and not worry that the clips won't match up with the words.

So this vid is going to be very pretty. Not much substance. But a whole lot of pretty.

Now, I made the OZ vid, because a vidbunny ate my brain. I *had* to make it, or it would have driven me crazy. This vid, on the other hand, I will make for the sheer joy of vidding. It will be so much easier of a job than my OZ vid. I'm very well acquainted with the source material. I won't have to look at episodes I've never seen and pray that they have the sort of clips I want. I won't have to worry halfway through that I don't have *enough* source and I need to halt my work and download more.
