Whoo! Feedback high! So, yeah. I got an e-mail yesterday from someone who wanted to download my OZ vid (yet to be uploaded to the new domain). Apparently this person had heard about it from The Twisted Sister and Cellblock 5 mailing lists (popular mailing lists for hardcore OZ fans).

Well, I didn't belong to either of these mailing lists. I'm not a hardcore OZ fan. I'm just a hardcore vidder. I thought I'd challenge myself by vidding in a fandom I knew next to nothing about (It's about a prison, right? And Meloni plays the main character?). My reasons for doing this are complex. Suffice it to say, I am a crazy bitch, so I did a crazy and bitchlike thing. Chalk it up to a learning experience.

Where was I? Oh, yeah -- mailing lists. See, when I found out I was recced on these mailing lists, I decided to join them. I figured, hey -- if my vid was recced there, chances are I got some feedback there that I didn't know about. And I was right. Yaaaaay! Yay for feedback!!!!!



Oh, and spaggel, do me a favor, would you? See if you can re-save the vid in WMM before you upload it to the website. It might shrink the file size down somewhat. Cause 18 MB is a little ridiculous for a 4:07 minute vid at 320 x 240 resolution.

Yep, your OZ vid is one that I'm waiting to see, as I was too much of a moron to figure out how to download it on your old site. :D

This is a little late, but I wanted to say that you made an amazing video. I don't know how you did it since you don't know much about Oz, but good job. Do you have any plans to make another one? Another Beecher/Keller one would be great. (Their my favourites.) If you're interested in knowing more about them, I could help. Good job again.

Oh, I know plenty about Oz. What I said was that I *knew* next to nothing about it when I decided to make the vid. Of course, I had to do a lot of research. First I read the overview of the show at crack_van, then I went to the official site to sift through episode summaries to find out when Keller first appeared on the show, then I found an episode transcripts site and skimmed though them to see which episodes would have the kind of scenes I needed. Then I downloaded those episodes off kazaa and started to vid.

I might make another Oz vid later. Probably not Beecher/Keller again, though. Either way, it won't be any time soon.
