lierdumoaI went to a car bashing last night. One of the frat houses at my college brought out a car, played some loud music, handed out gloves, safety goggles, and your choice of baseball bat or sledgehammer. People lined up in pairs and were given about three to five minutes to...well...bash the fuck out of a car. Fun, fun for *everyone.* I highly enjoyed myself. I picked a bat to use. The sledgehammer was simply too heavy and unweildy. The car lasted quite a long time. I left before the group was done with it.
So anyway, now I'm back in my dorm lazing around. The fire alarm went off around 8:00am and everyone walked out of the building in their pajamas and gave the building dirty looks when it was discovered that there was, in fact, no fire at all. I then spent about two minutes at the counter in the entrance of my dorm trying to simultaneously find out if any packages had arrived for me and flirt with the devastatingly hot Swedish guy who was currently working the desk.
*pout* Not enough flirting.
Oh well. *sigh* There's always tomorrow.
I have good news! I actually learned enough physics in my summer program to pass out of the class. I'll start the semester taking electrical when most freshman will still be taking mechanical. I got into the accelerated version of first semester calculus. It's not as good as passing out of the class entirely, but it's good enough. I also got into a program in which I get to take most of my classes in a smaller learning group, with a lot more personal attention and more freedom to do what I want with my schedule. Sweet ass!
