Oh...what's new...

Have vidded roughly three minutes. Rough draft is about halfway done. Any other song and I'd be on the home stretch by now. I slept four and a half hours last night. Bright side -- Premiere is much easier to use than WMM (anyone who says it isn't is a dirty, dirty liar). Sadly, I found that when I tried to extract clips from my avi episodes, they ended up with the Divx logo plastered all over them. I found a way to prevent that from happening (or rather, some kind LJer told permetaform told me how to prevent that from happening). Unfortunately I'm going to need to re-clip all of season 4 (17 clips in total).

Waaaaaaah.



My mom visited on Friday. She brought me food from her trip to Belgium. I have eaten all the stroupwafels and chocolate. I still have two sesame crepes left over. Mmmm...foreign food.

You must have a different version of Premiere because my version sucks potato cakes, and it also takes over six hours to um, what's that thing you have to do first? Ratify the workspace? Hmm, no. Anyway, six hours for that and then six more to make the vid when I'm done. I'm too impatient for that, yo.

?? are you multitasking on your computer? for a 4 min long section it takes me about an hour or so. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay shorter if I make clips of most of the parts first...

Nope. I've talked to people who share my version of Premier and they concur that this is accurate. I hate it. *stabs premiere*

even when the clips are pre-rendered using WMM's "DV-AVI (NTSC)" function? That usually renders 4min clips in 25 min or less, and then I mess around with the clips in Premiere. That way, it's automatically green instead of that red...

Hmm...I should try that. See, I asked some vidding chicas about short cuts like that and they claimed there were none...still the 6 hours to make the vid makes me INSANE. Especially, when after the 6 hours have passed, I realize that there is a speed bump of some sort and have to DO IT AGAIN.

tho I have premiere7. but yeah, try pre-rendering. it's annoying and takes awhile but it saves time in the long run

Hmm, I have an earlier version. I'll try it though. I think what I really need is a newer version of Premier. However, I'm not really a vidder--I just play one on LJ. ;)
