Where the hell did my fic muse go?

You know what's weird? Feedbackers telling me, "And you did it all for love!" I rarely do anything for love. Mostly I do things for feedback, or so I can congratulate myself on what a genius I am, or because I have an idea so crazy I know I'm the only one who'd ever come up with it, let alone implement it. If I do something for love, I'll say so. Right there in the author's note. It'll say, "For my Sydhead."

Okay, so I thought a bit more about my Butterfly Effect vid this morning. I want the storyline to go chronologically backwards. I'm even considering having parts of the film run backwards. Or maybe having all the film run backwards. I just have this vague image in my head. Lots of slow motion and fast motion and backwardsness. Thoughts? permetaform, think it would work?

might require alot of horizontal flipping to get all the movements matched up, but yeah! go for it! =D the song'll support it I think. It'll look especially cool if you do it on a clip where he's writing and the words all disappear up his pen...

I was just thinking about that! And explosions backwards make it look like some invisible force is sucking away all the energy.

Kinda goes with the movie theme, I think. He keeps trying to fix things, and here we'd have images of things literally becoming un-broken or un-damaged.

Dude -- you're gonna have to explain in detail how you do the clipping from the vob files.

okay, open up dvd2avi right?

open up the .vob file

squiggle the cursor at the bottom until you get to the place you need, use the < and > buttons or the left/right arrows for the right frame

use the [ button to indicate 'in'

squiggle again until you get to the end point of where you want to clip

use the ] button to indicate 'out'

save.
