gwyn_r, what's the max filesize you're willing to download?

I'm not sure what the max size *is* -- it's my dad's compy but I'm sure he's got at least a couple of gigs on it. Not that I want to DL a gig sized file, but you know what I mean.

It seems to take about up to 10 min to load a 20-22 MB sized file in WMV. I don't know if that helps, but it's about all I can tell you. I also might be able to use my friend's broadband connection and I think she routinely DLs movies, TV shows, etc., so she should be able to handle a vid. I just need to coordinate schedules with her.

Does your friend have divx player or the divx codec? I was planning to send you an avi (somewhere in the range of 20-25 MB -- best quality for your filesize), but if you don't have the codec I can convert it to wmv, or you can get the codec for free and the file will play in Windows Media Player (just google search divx).

I'm sure she does -- she seems to have everything. My dad's doesn't just because I've never gone looking for one, since I don't understand all the different codecs and files and whatever, and i don't know what's the right one to get. I guess I'll have to see what happens... I'm just really not clued in to this stuff.
