I think one other question you might need to ask yourself is, which one would piss you off less if you were to make it and the VJ chose not to include it in their show. (Unless, of course, you're VJing either show, in which case you are queen of the universe and can put in whatever you want!) I know that last year, I had really specific vids in mind for my literalism vs. metaphor panel and show, and a number of the suggestions -- most of them -- didn't make it in. And then there's the battle of the unshown vids that all the VJs get into, where people are trying to find older or unusual vids that may not have had much play, and we're all fighting over a handful of vids like crazy women at a rack sale.
Hmmmm. I don't think I'd mind if either weren't included. They both seem like fun projects, but neither is all that close to my heart. Really I just want to know which one my flist would rather see, because one I'll finish by the VividCon deadline, and the other I'll finish who knows when.
Well - from a viewing standpoint, I love Almost Famous (haven't seen it in a while though), and I have no earthly idea what Gia is. I voted for the former. ;)
BTW, Death Note anime is supposedly coming out on Oct. 4 (aka my birthday) so I'm thinking I will postpone the One Piece project (I probably won't have all the source downloaded by July anyway) and work on DN vid first. So I'll probably finish it, like, a month or so after the anime comes out.
