Uhm. Hmmm. Okay.

So, I'm really, really behind on VividCon projects.

The deadline is in 13 Days.

I can do this. Technically. I spend hours a day doing lots of shit on my computer that is not vidding. That's going to stop. No reading fic for 13 days. I'll think of it like Lent. I did Superman last year in 12 days and I spent 3 of them clipping and the song was six minutes long and also way faster than my auction vid song and it was my first time using Premiere. Of course this leaves, like, very little time for beta.

[livejournal.com profile] boniblithe, don't hate me, but you might get only 3 days before the submission deadline to beta that vid you paid $550.00 for.

::cringes::

I'm a horrible person.

In other news, I'm feeling like a little bit of a retard because I never realized that you could uncheck the "blend frames together on speed changes" option. You know -- that thing that makes Premiere interpolate frames every time you adjust the speed so that it looks like you have motion blur?

OMG did no one notice that it's turned on for, like, all my vids done in Premiere, and all my vids have speed changes on at least 50% of the clips?

::flails::

Well, too late to change up Gia vid now. I'll experiment with that on my next vid project. You know. Assuming I'm alive when this is over.

ETA -- Why my roommate is better than yours:

[livejournal.com profile] lierdumoa: The VividCon deadline is in 13 days.
[livejournal.com profile] adrienne2: You can handle it.
[livejournal.com profile] lierdumoa: Thirteen days.
[livejournal.com profile] adrienne2: It's okay. I'll be a housewife.
[livejournal.com profile] lierdumoa: You'll cook for me?
[livejournal.com profile] adrienne2: Of course!

Thing is, unless you are editing with progressive footage you HAVE to use the blending option.

Slowing down interlaced footage will do bad things, which is why premiere does field blending (in premiere pro) or bad deinterlacing (in older premiere versions).

If, like me, you always edit with progressive footage, however, you'll want to turn it off.

Hint: To turn it off for every clip on the timeline, use ctrl+a to select all the clips and then access the option from the clip menu at the top (instead of right clicking which will only set it for one clip).

Ah. This explains why it's the default.

Thanks for the tip!

I've been editing w/ progressive footage, but leaving it on. I think I like the look it's given the Gia vid so far, so I'll save turning it off for another experiment.

Well, I mean I could, if you felt that I should have input, or you were stuck, or confused, or just lazy (LOL). But being surprised is OK with me.

I have made a beta request post. I think I know what you want out of this vid, so if you want to be surprised, that's fine. [livejournal.com profile] permetaform beta's everything I make. Hopefully someone else will also want to check it out.

If Bri brings home a plethora of catering goodness in the next two weeks I'll call you (or I would if I had the digits). In fact I can ask him to bring home more than usual. Do you like salmon? I usually tell him to skip the salmon. *hates it* But if you like it dude it's *all* yours.

*pokes around your journal*

*notices the man whore pic*

OMG!!! VIN DIESEL. *pervs* I recall discussing him ever so briefly on Sunday. Do you have an unholy affection for a big bald man with questionable acting skills?

Dude -- I vidded him (http://www.livejournal.com/users/lierdumoa/145076.html). Which basically amounted to me staring at him frame by frame for four weeks straight.

Mmmmm obliques.

That's the B&W shot of him looking down in a desert like setting, yes? *day dreams*

So Diesel whore that you are, you may not be opposed to a viewing of The Pacifier after vividcon? It came out on DVD this week. And I often have the house to myself Friday nights since I have no life.
