I keep closing my word processor randomly to half laugh, half wail hysterically, "Good God, WHAT AM I WRITING?!?"

Does this happen to other people? Just, you know, out of curiousity.

I have three scenes left to write and they need to be good and decently long because the sex is currently taking up over half the chapter, and I know I started this because I thought the fandom needed some genderbending porn, but this is just getting *ridiculous* and I'm afraid if I fall asleep Rodney will come to me in my dreams and DEMAND HIS HYMEN BACK.

I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I JUST WROTE THAT SENTENCE.

In other news, I'm currently listening to Kanye West and Courtney Love and I'm considering vidding "Violet" to The Craft but the colors are all wrong. I wonder if there's an anime that would work for it.

I just write what I think is hot, try to bring in all five senses when possible, avoid using euphemisms. Make sure you have your facts straight. You can't really write porn for other people because there's no way you can know for sure what they think is hot. There's a certain amount of self-insertion involved. It is kind of like writing a Mary-Sue, except with far less of a chance that you'll get flamed.

Two questions and one reassurance.

Hell is where the party is gonna be when we all die. And since we're all about the same age, I figure in about 50, 60 years, that's when real estate value down there is gonna essplode like nothing else. ^_^ And genderbending kink is yay. thanks so much! i am loving the song but drawing a blank on what kind of anime could possibly hold up to such an intense song. i want to say ghost in the shell or lain, but i feel like there's some better suggestion out there. i shall think on it.

Heeeeeee. And also awwwwww. This chapter ended up being salvageable, thankfully, and close to 6000 words, and as it turned out, Rodney didn't miss his hymen all that much.

I often feel tempted to put comments like that in things before I send them off to beta. Disclaimers like, "I know the dialogue here is terrible, and I'm telling you just so you know that I am *aware* of the problem and taking steps to solve it." In the end I restrain myself, but oh, the urge is *strong*.
