You know, it was odd. I learned over vacation that none is actually a sort of contraction for 'not one' and that, technically, it's incorrect to use anything but a singular verb after the word none. Funny how I didn't know this before -- it never came up in any of my elementary school grammar classes. But, you know, it occurs to me that this has everything to do with the place in which I went to elementary school. My parents knew this rule, and informed me of it, but then they grew up in a country where the King's English -- English English -- was taught, as opposed to American English, which is, like, totally ghetto in comparison.

And degenerating even further the way I see it. I mean, dude -- now everyone on television mispronounces nuclear. This is one of my pet peeves. And it's a huge pet peeve. I visibly cringe whenever someone on tv says it. Especially since most of the time the only people who say it on tv are, like, acting as scientists or some such. It's embarrassing. I'll start yelling at the tv. It makes me furious. I mean -- why can't they just say it right? Is this because Bush can't seem to pronounce it correctly? I mean -- dude. Now here's just yet another reason to hate Bush.

So I was watching a bunch of O.C. episodes. Oh my God -- I am so in love with that show. Ryan. Dude. He's just...edible. And I can't even say that I like the bad boy thing, cause honestly -- couldn't care less about that. He's just so adorable and he has this long nose that just does weird things to me when I see it. And he looks like Russel Crowe, only, you know, younger and with lighter hair. Which is weird, because I was never attracted to Russel Crowe, like, at all. And, okay, Seth is also cute. And sarcastic. And the more likely victim of my celebrity crush, so I really can't explain this Ryan thing at all, but I have to restrain myself from squealing every time he comes onto the screen.

And, okay, so I could be into the Seth/Ryan slash couple. I mean, they don't have any of the blatant onscreen chemistry like Clark/Lex, or even like Ephram/Bright, but I figure there's enough that my imagination can take it where the show leaves off. After all, I have a pretty good imagination. So I'm not sunk on the pairing like some are, but into it enough that I'll be occupying much of my free time reading fanfiction for said couple. Not that I have anything against the het pairings. I like the het pairings. I'm all for the het pairings. But I'm actually quite happy with how the show is handling the het pairings to the point that I don't feel I need to read fanfiction on them to get a fix.

Expect Smallville and Angel, and possibly Alias reaction posts later today. They'll most likely be long. After all -- when am I ever terse when it comes to these things? Hell, I said practically nothing in this post, and you still probably had to scroll down several times to get it all.

;o)

Also, in case anyone cares, I'm going to be making some very sexy But I'm A Cheerleader icons of the lesbian variety (because as much as I love watching the guy who played Rufio in Hook make out with another guy, the camera angle is actually kinda crappy and the screenshots, therefore, also crappy, and therefore bad icon making material). So yeah. Apparently I'm all about the girl love. At least for icon making.
